My name is Laura Scott, and I am
the Program Manager for commercial corridor and small business
development at Emory Beacon of Light, Inc. (EBOL). EBOL would
like to assist you with any business needs or concerns you
have. Specifically, we are here to provide technical assistance
with loan packaging, business plans, development, inventory
control, and advertising/marketing. Our services are free of
charge and are made possible through funding from the District’s
Department of Housing and Community Development and the
Neighborhood Investment Fund.
EBOL is committed to the
coordination of government and private resources for the
revitalization of Brightwood. To this end, we attend community
planning meetings and other meetings to stay abreast of the
latest activities and developments here in Brightwood. Please
do not hesitate to call us with any questions you have about
ongoing planning efforts.
EBOL also conducts small
business development workshops/seminars. If there is a topic of
particular interest to you, please feel free to let us know.
Also, do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions or
need any assistance. Please note that the Beacon Brightwood
Business Alliance (BBBA) meets every 2nd Thursday at
Emory United Methodist Church at 8:00 a.m.
Sincerely,
Laura Scott
